Why International Community Should Unite to Combat ISIS

Until today, ISIS or Islamic State of Iraq and Syria has caused massive damages not only to Syria and Iraq, but also to the international community around the world. ISIS has damaged the livings of people in Syria and Iraq, forcing them to leave the countries and become refugees in other countries. They have to lose the relatives they used to love and the properties they used to own because of the inhumane attacks ISIS has continuously made in that area. In addition, ISIS also brings bad impacts to international community such as the attack in Paris that happens recently and the fear it spreads from the social media. ISIS has created physical and psychological attacks to people across the globe and that is why it should be considered as a unique type of terrorist that should be taken care by international community with immediate intervention.

International community should unite to combat ISIS with drones and military intervention because the direct and indirect threat it can create to international community will get bigger and bigger as time moves forward. The more time international community delays to attack ISIS, the more power ISIS can possess from collecting region and money from oil. The more power it can possess, the easier it can create harms to international community because they have more resources such as weapons and drones to launch. That is why ISIS needs to be prevented from now because international community can not risk having them more powerful than ever in the future. The only way to do that is to put aside the differences of ideology among international community and combine the collective power of international community to stop ISIS once and for all.

There is no other mechanism that can stop ISIS from getting bigger and bigger. Negotiation will not work. Only collective intervention can stop ISIS. International community can not delay more time because the lives of their society are at stake. International community needs to make sure that they can maintain the security of their own people in their sovereign land. The attack in Paris is clearly a strong message for international community to take immense actions to stop ISIS. International community should step up and unite to stop ISIS from attacking our fellow citizens in Middle East and prevent the harm it can bring to international community. This is the time to act or it will be too late to act.
